These new PPC changes won’t be harmful to your NJ & NYC company should you implement them correctly

Google had completely changed the way that PPC ads appear on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP). Many, if not all, the ads that appear on the right hand rail of the SERP, will be changing or disappearing all together. This new change will have an effect on performance of each ad but no need to fear, Kraus Marketing has some points to help keep you on top with your potential customers.

PPC Results Are Constantly Changing

Just like organic search, algorithm changes in search engine marketing happen all the time. This change has been planned for a while, and the effects have been happening in major categories.

This means that if your ads do not contain site links or third-party reviews, now would be the time to revamp your PPC campaigns. On top, Google may only show three or four ads but the main body of search will include all of the additional links associated with the ads.

What does this mean for your ads? It means a lot because by adding these different call outs, you are essentially multiplying the size of your ad. This means that your competitor’s ads will be pushed further down in search.

By getting rid of the right hand rail with PPC, opens up the idea that organic traffic and local search are playing a bigger role. Meaning that organic search is showing to be a compliment to PPC, so make sure that you are working in both fields to play nice with Google.

It’s Not What We Are Losing With PPC, It’s What We’re Gaining

By getting rid of the right trail, Google is giving us a more effective and efficient ad experience. By getting rid of all the extra ads on the side, Google is creating an efficient ad-buying process and only providing the best results to the client, which is their overall goal.

By expanding the search positioning on Google and increasing real estate with it, users are being shown more effective ads or listings for the information they seek. Local SEO is aiding customers in finding what is in their area and in most cases, will be what they are searching for the most. Hotels, restaurants and local places now have a chance to compete with high-volume searches. The right-hand rail can now be a more advanced place for site links and extensions and not as much as an ad distraction.

It’s Now About What We Can Offer Our Clients:

The good thing about this program is that Google is taking a step back and is actually promoting advertisers and causing less promotion for Google.

This is also better for Google’s end user. Since Google is essentially tailoring the search results to only the best intent and audience, Google is creating these relevant experiences and only showing the best of the best all around thus enhancing end-user experience.

At Kraus Marketing, even though the scope is being narrowed, we will continue to monitor the changes and stay up to date with the newest advances in algorithms.
