Kraus Marketing Helps Donate Fresh Produce through America’s Grow-a-Row
July 22, 2019, Morristown, NJ – On Friday, July 19, Kraus Marketing took to the cornfields at America’s Grow-a-Row, a non-profit organization focused on hunger, located in Pittstown, NJ. Joining other local companies, the team helped to harvest almost 4,800 pounds of corn for neighboring communities in need.
America’s Grow-a-Row began with a father-daughter gardening project between Chip Paillex and his four-year-old daughter, Kyra. After realizing they were producing much more food than they needed for themselves, the family was inspired to donate fresh produce to feed the hungry. Today, over 7.7 million pounds of fresh produce has been donated to food pantries directly from Paillex’s organization.
Kraus Marketing’s volunteering efforts helped to provide over 19,000 servings for those struggling with food insecurity.
“As a local marketing company in New Jersey, it is always an honor lending a helping hand to communities so close to home,” said Kraus Marketing CEO and founder, Nicholas Kraus.
In New Jersey alone, 919,000 people are considered food insecure, and more than 268,000 children live in hunger every day. At America’s Grow-a-Row, it is their mission to educate the community about this stark issue and encourage volunteers to work toward combatting the detrimental effects of food insecurity in our country.
Beyond donations, America’s Grow-a-Row has established several educational programs across New Jersey, helping children in low-income areas learn about healthy eating, and fostering a commitment to sustainability. Kraus Marketing is proud to be amongst more than 9,100 volunteers that have made this mission possible.
