Our team had a lot of fun putting together our Mannequin Challenge video a few weeks ago!
You’ve most likely heard about the Mannequin Challenge from your favorite celebrities, however, the challenge originated in Jacksonville, Florida by high school students at Edward H. White High School. Since the first Mannequin Challenge in late October, there have been 1,405,468 #MannequinChallenge tags on Instagram.
Participating in viral trends increases the likelihood of prospective business clients and employee camaraderie. Our Mannequin Challenge was posted on November 7th, it was viewed 17,251 times and reached 38,420 people. Now, we aren’t going to lie, our video didn’t reach almost 40k people organically, we did put some money behind it.
The Mannequin Challenge campaign’s purpose was to increase engagement and lasted for two weeks. Two different audiences were targeted. The first was New Jersey residents and business owners within 25 miles of Kraus’s Morristown office with marketing and/or viral trend interest. The second target was residents of major cities in the United States with viral trend interest.
We boosted the post for a total of $250 and the results of the boost were great! For our budget, the total cost per engagement ended up being $0.02. The video received a total of 369 reactions, comments, and shares. It’s safe to say that our goal for the boosted post was met. Our team had a lot of fun and we even got some calls for some potential work!
