Independence Day is around the corner, and what better way to celebrate with a marketing campaign?

Holidays are a wonderful time to kick back, relax, eat some yummy food and promote your marketing campaign. Everyone loves a good holiday-themed campaign. Fourth of July is only a few weeks away, and it’s about time you start unveiling your patriotic, red, white and blue marketing skills.

1. Say Cheese

Snapchats, selfies and Instagrams have become the center of our world. We don’t just enjoy a moment as it’s happening – we capture it. Encourage your consumers to take pictures of their biggest Fourth of July moments for a patriotic photo contest. Then have contestants share their photos on your website or have them hashtag your brand’s name along with the name of your photo contest: “#KrausMarketingPatrioticContest.” Determine the winner based on the shares and likes of the photo. This will get your consumers excited about being a part of your brand, and it will help your brand get more notice and recognition.

2. Sale Away

Nothing makes a customer happier than hearing that your brand is offering a holiday sale. Offer a sale on your product or service on Fourth of July, or give out coupons that could be used during the month. You could even make your sales and coupons even more Independence Day themed by using themed numbers in your discounts. How about $17.76 off of $100 or 50% off sale items?

3. Be Social

Holidays are social events spent with family, friends and other fun people. Remember to use your social media accounts to wish your followers a very happy Fourth of July. This means tweeting and retweeting things about the holiday. It might mean posting a cute picture on Instagram of wearing a red, white and blue hat. You can also share food and drink recipes to help your followers with their barbeques. Remember to create your own unique hashtag for this holiday: “#KrausMarketingJuly4th.”

4. Think Out of the Box

If you’re a local business, you should be in the know about what’s going on in your community. Use this to your advantage by informing your customers of what’s happening and where. Tell them where the fireworks will be tonight, where the town festival is located or what’s happening at the parade. You can also live-tweet fireworks and other events: “Firework finale at the park was breathtaking. #KrausMarketingJuly4th.”

5. Live and Breathe Patriotism

Fourth of July is when America declared independence from Great Britain and patriotism was born. On this day, everyone is American. Use all the stereotypical Fourth of July events, colors, foods and more in your marketing campaign. Some examples to choose from are fireworks, hamburgers and the colors red white and blue. Everything you post on July 4th and the days leading up to it should revolve around the holiday. Keep reminding people so that your brand is associated with the day.

Holiday-themed marketing campaigns are an easy, fun way to attract people to your brand. It shows them that you too are celebrating today. Use Fourth of July to your brand’s advantage today, but still remember to enjoy the barbecue and the fireworks.
