Mansion in May

Mansion in May is a fundraiser associated with the Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) that began in 1974. Hosted every two or three years, Mansion in May brings thousands of visitors and hundreds of volunteers to historical estates for the preeminent Designer Showhouse and Gardens in the New Jersey-New York area. It is a month-long event that showcases the historical significance each chosen estate has in our community while allowing interior designers and landscape artists to bring a sense of modernity to every room and outdoor space.

Client Challenge

For Mansion in May 2025, WAMMC was raising money to support the new Proton Therapy Center at Morristown Medical Center that expands cancer care services. The organization was in need of a marketing agency that could help generate awareness and excitement around the event through digital advertising, email blasts, and collateral design.

The Kraus Solution

This year’s mansion, Wildfair, holds over 220 years of history and is located in Chester, NJ. With such a stunning estate to work with, the Kraus team got to work understanding the goals of WAMMC and what was needed to make this event a success.

After identifying areas of need and the event’s target audience, we began drafting ads for both Meta and Google Ads. The campaigns focused on the promotion of ticket sales—often highlighting the allure of Mansion in May as well as the Proton Therapy Center at Morristown Medical—with messaging, imagery, and core audience targeting that evolved as we approached the month of May.

We simultaneously designed an email template and wrote copy for their weekly “Mansion Monday” email newsletters, which WAMMC could use to spread word of the fundraiser’s updates and wins. Collateral, such as flyers and posters, were mocked up by our designers for use in the fundraiser’s community outreach, and SEO optimization of the event’s landing page was done to help draw more organic site visits.
